5 weeks

And I will be a-headin' to Colorado!

My mom is flying up to Butte to drive my U-haul.

I have already packed half of my belongings. Can you tell I'm excited?

Pray for Kevin this weekend. He's taking his last board exams! Hooray for finishing dental school!

And I have 21 days of work left, but who's counting? ;)

Reunion Shirt Prototypes

I did not receive an adequate response on my last post about the reunion/blogging shirts, so if you guys still think shirts are a good idea, and are willing to *pay* for them... Here are some ideas I threw together today while it was slow at work:

I arbitrarily chose some of the WV definitions I thought were funny and creative, so there are four listed on the back sides of the blogger t-shirts. If you will recall, "SSBS" stands for Super Secret Blogging Society, and the only suggested slogan I could find was "Prostering since 2006". As far as I can tell, "prostering" was a made up word from a word verification, and I think it sounds like a real word, which fits the theme perfectly. Keep 'em guessing!

I am open to suggestions, votes of which shirts are your favorite, as well as ideas about whether you would like SSBS shirts only, or reunion shirts for everyone. The first shirt is an SSBS shirt:

The second shirt is also an SSBS shirt, with a different design. I'm not sure I like the graphic I did on the back of this one, so keep in mind, all of these designs are subject to editing.
The third design is just a general "2009 Stimpson Reunion" shirt. We could order these for everyone there. I thought I'd show you what a white background looked like, but I played with the colors on this one for a long time and think it might look better on a brown or tan shirt (below). Again, editing may occur.

Finally, a combination of the two ideas: The front logo says "Stimpson Reunion '09" and the back has the location of the reunion, plus a "sponsored by" section which includes The Biggest Loser and SSBS logos. If you guys like this idea, we could make it look like one of those 5K race shirts with the small logos of all the sponsors. Can you guys think of more made-up sponsors for this year's reunion, or do you think those two are enough?

I tried to make them all gender neutral, but I'm sure not everybody will be as likely to wear the same one as the next person. Hopefully we can come to some sort of consensus.

As far as cost goes, by my calculations, any of these t-shirts (if we order more than 12) will be in the $12-18 range, and shipping is free, so that's good. Give me some feedback, por favor!

{Tanner and B-Hal: If you guys still want to choose the WVs that go on the back of the shirts, and if the family wants to buy these shirts, I will be happy to email the WV lists to you both and you can select the winners.}

Ketchup: Happenings of December, January, February and March

A pictorial summary of the highlights of the last four months for your viewing pleasure:

We are soon to be first-time home buyers! We fell in love with this brand new house and its open, airy feeling.

Our parents came to join our home shopping escapades. This is the front of the house we're buying.

The view from our living room window. We think it's gorgeous now, but wait until spring and summer when the leaves are in! Aaaah...

Our master bathroom

The gorgeous kitchen. This was a huge selling point for us!

A nature walk Kevin and I went on in Virginia over his birthday weekend.

I got to help assist Kevin at a dental rotation in Boydton (southern Virginia)... Suction?

Here he is with a classmate working on a difficult extraction. Isn't he a sexy dentist?

This was our one and only ice fishing adventure in Montana shortly after the new year. Kevin caught two fish on poles that he wasn't even holding.

Hard at work with the ice auger

I sat at this hole the whole time and never felt a nibble, but when I pulled my line up, the bait was gone. Hmm, I blame it on the cold. My senses were dulled.

The gingerbread house we finished on New Year's Eve

I'm most proud of the wreath.

Kevin was a professional icicle maker. That's some serious talent.

Christmas morning: opening presents. Kevin built me a custom fly rod. Hello?!? AWESOME.

Kevin sporting a new "clo"

Another present from hubby: VCU dental school shirt

This is a brown sweater I bought him. He looks very handsome in it, no?

The prized possession: KitchenAid mixer

We were too poor for a Christmas tree, so I was the tree. Note the green shirt, the ornaments pinned to my shirt, the ribbon garlands, and the gold star at the top (we think we're funny.)

Some pictures from the honeymoon in southern Utah...

And now you're all caught up.
