He was facing my right hip bone during the whole ultrasound, so this was the most front-on face shot we could get. His hands were also up by his face a lot, which accounts for all the weird shapes you see. Still kind of a profile, but I love his pouty bottom lip!

If you look closely, he's sticking his big toe up while the rest of his toes are curled. That's a "thumbs up" with his foot, which his mother can also do. It doesn't look nearly that cute when I do it though!

And that is one good looking leg if I ever saw one.

He's also showing off by flexing his bicep for us. Man, what a physique!

It's a Boy!

Introducing:

We are pleased to announce that our ultrasound went beautifully today and we saw our little boy for the first time! His cute little body parts, his beating heart, his weenie, his face and hands and feet are all perfect! He's measuring 4 days ahead of schedule, which is about as close to exact as they come. We found out what pushed his average measurements over the edge was actually his femur length (it measured about 2 weeks ahead of average!). The boy is inheriting his momma's long legs :)

We are so in love with this little one and we're glad that all the times we called him a "he" in the past months, we were actually using the proper pronoun. I'm getting my DVD with more pictures and some short video clips in a few days, and I'll upload some more goodies then. We even got a video clip of him yawning! It was so precious. We love him so MUCH!
