I did not receive an adequate response on my last post about the reunion/blogging shirts, so if you guys still think shirts are a good idea, and are willing to *pay* for them... Here are some ideas I threw together today while it was slow at work:
I arbitrarily chose some of the WV definitions I thought were funny and creative, so there are four listed on the back sides of the blogger t-shirts. If you will recall, "SSBS" stands for Super Secret Blogging Society, and the only suggested slogan I could find was "Prostering since 2006". As far as I can tell, "prostering" was a made up word from a word verification, and I think it sounds like a real word, which fits the theme perfectly. Keep 'em guessing!
I am open to suggestions, votes of which shirts are your favorite, as well as ideas about whether you would like SSBS shirts only, or reunion shirts for everyone. The first shirt is an SSBS shirt:
The second shirt is also an SSBS shirt, with a different design. I'm not sure I like the graphic I did on the back of this one, so keep in mind, all of these designs are subject to editing.
The third design is just a general "2009 Stimpson Reunion" shirt. We could order these for everyone there. I thought I'd show you what a white background looked like, but I played with the colors on this one for a long time and think it might look better on a brown or tan shirt (below). Again, editing may occur.

Finally, a combination of the two ideas: The front logo says "Stimpson Reunion '09" and the back has the location of the reunion, plus a "sponsored by" section which includes The Biggest Loser and SSBS logos. If you guys like this idea, we could make it look like one of those 5K race shirts with the small logos of all the sponsors. Can you guys think of more made-up sponsors for this year's reunion, or do you think those two are enough?
I tried to make them all gender neutral, but I'm sure not everybody will be as likely to wear the same one as the next person. Hopefully we can come to some sort of consensus.
As far as cost goes, by my calculations, any of these t-shirts (if we order more than 12) will be in the $12-18 range, and shipping is free, so that's good. Give me some feedback, por favor!
{Tanner and B-Hal: If you guys still want to choose the WVs that go on the back of the shirts, and if the family wants to buy these shirts, I will be happy to email the WV lists to you both and you can select the winners.}

I love these! I'll take one of each in a women's medium, please.
The "prostering" really is funny, if it is indeed a nonsense word. (B-Hal, I think that was your word. Enlighten us, please.)
I kind of like the darker colored backgrounds, too.
Love the tree on the back of the last one.
Love both SBSSes.
And I think the WVs will be funny. Which ones did you choose?
The WVs that are on there currently are:
sanceti (san-CHEH-tee), n. - the delicacy resulting from two slices of bread smeared with peanut butter, jelly and potato chips.
achicel (AH-chee-sell), n. - a chamber, usually cold, dark
and located in the basement where children are sent to let out their sneezes.
leduct (le-DUCT), n. - tape they use in France.
scronnet (SCRAW-nit), n. - the hairdo resulting from wearing a bonnet all day, similar to hat hair.
I think there needs to be a fifth one, but I didn't find one that went well with these yet.
No one has ever tolded me about any "secret society" but I blogged 3 miles today, a whole mile farther than I usually do. My feet are killing me !
About the t-shirts = I think we should have them and I like the darker background, too. If I get one of each like Neesh it won't matter that the sweat marks show up because I'll have a fresh one to wear each time I blog = 4 times a week.
Jamie , refresh my memorie have you ever left a comment, thought, opinion on my jog? You probably have I just can't remember. I didn't know you liked "your good times to roll" = now I know
Coy - do you have a blog? I've never seen it and it's not listed on your blogger profile. Or are you just being funny? ;)
My brother-in-law sells t-shirts wholesale and could probably get us a really good deal on the shirts themselves. He might even be able to do the silkscreening, or refer us to someone who does.
His site is here, or you can email him here. Or let me know what you're thinking/decide on and I can liaise with him.
jaime, love the shirts! i like the 5k sponsor idea best and letting everyone have one. i'm sure we can come up with more fake sponsors. like the numbers 56 and the letter Q. and maybe the company that made our orange space suits from our last family picture... and maybe the WVs can be "sponsors"? just some thoughts...
ps i also like the darker backgrounds.
really fun ideas. i like the prostering slogan a lot and, since i'm not so much participating in the biggest loser game (eating pie for breakfast today), i vote for WV shirts.
Sponsored by the Orange Spacesuit Company. Good idea, Annie. I like that as a sponsor also. But I like the WV shirts too. How about a combo of WV shirts and sponsor shirts? I like them all so I will let everyone else decide.
And let's look into what RD's brother-in-law can do for us.
I definitely like the last one, with the 5k idea. The one with the tree and the sponsors. Let's do it.
just being funny = I have no blog = I vote WV t-shirts, too = you can ALWAYS reach me via email.T-shirts that keep them guessing would be really fun(ny) thanks for doing them
I don't blog or jog but I like people who do
Sweet Jamie, these look great! I really like the last two!
Oh, Jaime, how will you ever decide?
We have some really creative and artistic people in our family.
Lola, you need to weigh in on this, too.
WV: erinilk, n., a short, late-night run, or errand, to the store to buy milk for the next day's breakfast as in, "Where's Mom?" "Oh, she's on an erinilk."
Nuther WV: flognom, n., the third member of the Flotsam and Jetsum triplets whose job it is to punish all disobedient mermaids. Flognom reports only to the Sea Witch and has never been seen in public.
I prefer the last t-shirt, wanting to hug the tree and all, but being the newest in-law my vote won't mean much.....j/k
Jeebs, the shirts look fantastic.
I can't decide! I like white, but also dark colors! I like all the different ideas too. I'm no help!! I'm pretty easy to please though! I think I forgot to send any w.v.'s to ya. Sorry about that!
You should also be a professional t-shirt designer on the side of mid wife!! Wow! You could REALLY make bank then!! Love ya! Love your work!
Thanks for the input, fam!
It sounds to me like the winner so far is the last shirt, with the idea of doing sponsors on the back like a race shirt.
Also, it sounds like more people want the shirt to be a WV shirt than a reunion shirt, so I'll tweak the design a little and see if I can please mostly everyone.
Thanks for the info about the wholesale t-shirts, Justin. Once I have a semi-final design, I'll email it to your brother in law and see what kind of deal he might be able to get us.
Annie and Mom: Am I missing something with the orange spacesuit joke?
