Really ridiculously good 1.5 days

YAY!!! Kevin still loves me even though I gained 250 pounds in the last three months and didn't tell him. Boy was he surprised when he saw me again and couldn't get his arms all the way around me. Thanks to gastric bypass and the widely advertised liposuction available in Utah (We Suck... Fat!), I was back to my normal size by Saturday evening which is when these pictures were taken.

What can I say? I love a practical joke. Add another 30K to the student debt total -- Lipo is exPENsive! But I fit into my wedding dress again (phew.)

I must throw in here that I went to the temple to receive my endowment this weekend in Logan and it was the best experience of my life so far, only to be topped by the event happening this Saturday, of course.

Here are some pictures of what Kevin likes to call "The Kevypoo and Jeebers Celebration Event." It was a shower/open house/party. (I was too busy being glued to Kevin to take pictures of Thanksgiving or the temple.) Sorry... but not really.

Opening gifts with Scott the recorder, Cherie the garbage collector, Cheryl the photographer, and Vern, Greg, and Shawn as the peanut gallery.

We got lots of wonderful and special gifts. Thanks everyone!

Kevin is hoping to use that pink polka-dot bag for bringing his lunch to the dental clinic.

I told him that would be alright. Here ya go, honey.

It was a blast to see friends and family again, and to meet a lot of the important people in Kevin's life. Sadly, these pictures were taken approximately one hour before I had to drop my wonderful fiance back off at the airport. My only consolation this time is remembering that 6 days is a lot shorter than 3 months, and to reflect back on the time that he and I shared together in the temple on Saturday morning.

Kevypoo is taking finals this week. He's gonna blow the competition out of the water, I say. And, this may be the last you hear of me for a while because, well, I'm getting married, ok??? And I'm going to act like a newlywed and pretend that there is nothing in the universe but my new husband for a while. So sue me.

My friends are going to be SO jealous of that bag! Nothing says rockstar like polka-dots!

By the way, it will be 47 and partly cloudy the day of the wedding, which is pretty good for December. If there is no wind, then it will be fairly pleasant.

Jamie, I had fun seeing you at the shower/open house/party or Kevy and Jeebers celebration. It was fun to meet some of your future family and some of your old family (your dad's side)! Wow, he comes from a big family!
I expect to not hear back on your blog for at least a good year, and then you can come back to reality! Until then, enjoy counting down the seconds til the wedding! It will be here before you know it! You guys were so cute together and I am really happy for you both!
P.S. I've been thinking, I am going to miss calling you JBG. It just flows so well. I guess I can get used to JBL, but I may be tempted to add a T on the end! :)
Love ya!
