BONK! and other happenings

No, I don't abuse my child. He was playing a rousing game of "bar stool obstacle course" with himself when he stepped inside the bottom rung with both feet. His balance threw him backward and the stool landed on top of him. Mom was a little too slow to save him.

It actually looked the worst the first day, which is when I took these. All the swelling went down by the next morning, and you can hardly see it now. He looked like a little boxer for a day though. :)

Mikey gets bubble beards when he puts his face in the bath water to drink it. I know he shouldn't drink his bath water, but it's hard to stop him all the time. I can never get a picture of the first bubble beard, which is always the best and funniest looking. This one has been sort of washed away already.

Here he is trying to change the settings on our fridge. Where are his pants??? I just thought that was too cute of a photo op to pass up.

Kevin surprised us by bringing home a pike that was almost as big as Mikey last weekend! He was fishing with a friend who wasn't going to keep this fish, so Kevin took it off his hands. He had a blast learning to fillet a pike, and Mikey actually ate an entire fillet by himself! Our little boy likes fish, and his daddy couldn't be more proud.

Here's Kevin with the monster. Its gills were still moving when he plopped it on the foil on the counter. I was pretty freaked out and wanted him to get it cleaned and put away as quickly as possible. I don't like slimy, moving creatures on my counter tops!

And last but not least, a few random shots I took of Mikey on a few different mornings with the sun coming in through our east-facing window. He loves to play with our keys.

This one shows his two teeth really well. And his thin, wispy hair. We love this dude. He is constantly amazing us with how sweet and loving his personality is, and how his sense of humor is developing. We think the top teeth might be trying to come through, but neither of them have made an appearance yet.
