Mikey and I have both been down for the count the past week with bad head colds and ear infections. But there were a few bright spots in our not-so-great week. Since I had no energy, I spent a lot of time in bed or on the couch with the computer and I was able to compile and edit blog books for our personal history. I got everything caught up all the way to this post! There are two books, one of which I ordered and will arrive in a few weeks. The first is 114 pages or so, and the second, which covers Feb 2010 to Feb 2011 is 67 pages, I think. I'm so excited to see the finished products, and I can't believe how reasonable the cost was. These will be priceless mementos! The other good thing to happen was that Mikey took his first few steps yesterday while pushing a walker toy that my mom got him. He still hasn't taken any steps without holding on to anything, but this was a big move for him! He pushed his toy about six feet across the floor without my help. He also enjoyed a sucker that our friend Katie dropped off with a nice note. We're hoping to feel better very soon so we can get out and enjoy the spring weather! (Notice how I don't include pictures of myself sick. Somehow Mikey is just cuter. He will just come up to us and lay his head down on us because he's exhausted. He's also so much more cuddly when he's sick.)

Poor Mikey

It's terrible being sick but I think it is much worse to see your little ones get sick! Get well soon!
Poor baby. Have you tried those homeopathic ear drops? I have seen them at the store, I think they are made by Hyland's, but I have never tried them. I did use the teething tablets though and I thought they helped a bit. Hope you guys both feel better soon!
Cuddliness is the only good thing about a child's being sick! If you're ever under the weather like that at the same time as Mikey again, I could be persuaded to come do the cuddling, if you want.
Oh how I wish he could lay his head on my shoulder! Hope you are both up and about soon. xox
