Cousin It?

I forgot that most of you, my dear readers, have still not seen my new look. I have been shedding hair like crazy since Mikey was born, and was getting fed up with the multitude of hairballs that seemed to follow me wherever I went, and cling to my clothing and everything I touched. Eww. I was like a 5'11" female version of Linus from Charlie Brown.

Anyway, here's my head of hair before the fateful day of chopping. I donated it to a good cause, and have been LOVING the new short 'do ever since.

Advantages of short hair I have already discovered:

1. When my hair falls out, it lands on the ground instead of getting stuck to my shirt, pants, pillow, or various pieces of furniture.

2. I can put on chapstick or lip gloss while in the car, roll the windows down, and my hair doesn't stick to my lips!

3. It takes me about two minutes to style my hair every day... Maybe five if I have to blowdry it.

3.5 My shampoo and conditioner consumption have drastically decreased.

4. Mikey doesn't get his fingers caught in my hair anymore (although now he'll grab at the skin on my neck and pinch like he's grabbing fabric... not sure which I like worse).

5. You get a lot of attention the first time you go back to your home ward -- everyone comes up to you and says, "I didn't recognize you! I was wondering, 'Who's that woman sitting next to Brother Lewis???' Your hair is so cute!"

6. I don't get headaches after a day of wearing my hair up due to the weight tugging at the back of my head.

7. I don't have to worry about my hair getting tangled. Ever. That might be one of the best things. You can ask Kevin, since he has encountered some pretty nasty snarls when brushing my hair for me. :)

I don't have a good picture of the back, but you get the picture. It's short. I'm free at last! Free at last!

Looks soooo cute!! I don't think I've ever seen you with short hair. I would wonder who was sitting next to Brother Lewis too, cause you look like a new girl! I am very much contemplating this same thing. The baby grabbing it, the headaches, all not so fun. So much less time to do too!! Yeah for you. It looks gorgeous!

Holy cow girl!!! It's super short! It's really cute and fun though. I think it makes you look more like your mom. Which of course is a huge compliment. ;) Miss you. So close, yet too far away... :(

I forgot about the new hairdo and I even saw it in person! So cute on you. Funny how much darker it looks short, huh?! Pretty pictures of you.

I love it! I am still losing hair all the time! It drives me crazy! I am not that brave though. I have done locks of love before, but only to my shoulders. Your do is super cute!
